Evaluating Kayak Plans

I'll be honest when I say that there are a lot of great kayak plans on the market today each with their admirers, detractors and marketing bravado. I've reviewed many of them, built several of them, and can't find fault with a single one.

When it comes to designs from the market leaders you can't go wrong after you have decided on the right model for your needs.

My kayak designs are comparable, not better, not worse, just different. Each one will be in the same ball park as anything you will find currently available.

There are plans for multi chines and hard chines. In each case they were worked up for a client who had something a bit different in mind. That doesn't mean however that one might just be perfect for you.
