Kayak Gentian Bay
Gentian Bay after a test dip off Madeline Island near Ashland, WI
and before final finishing.
This is an example of a slender multichine design meant to be fast and
light. It features 4 ounce glass in and out with 4MM hull planks and
3MM deck and custom coaming.
If you built an S&G kayak from one of the kit companys you may have
found it a bit wide. I had built on from plans from a company out east.
It was nice but better suited to a 300 pound load. I liked the
multichine design but wanted something more slender for occassional
paddling. I designed this to accomodate that requirement. I still have
it in the garage. It's about 38 pounds.
Don't be afraid to contact me via email or by phone. Information is on the contact page which has been updated. I had hoped to have more plans details up this year however many folks are requesting custom work..
If you do not see a canoe plan or kayak plan you are looking for, please contact me and I can email you a PDF with descriptions, lines and particulars.
